Waxing FAQ's
Waxing Q & A...
Q: How long does my hair have to be in order to wax?
A: Hair should be a minimum of 1/4” - 1/2" inch length to obtain the most ideal wax, usually
about 3-4 weeks without shaving or plucking.
Q: Does waxing hurt?
A: In short the answer is yes. Although it is a very quick pain and not a long lasting. Most
first time waxers find it has it's painful moments, but it's not nearly as painful as they
imagined it to be... I have a lot of first timers say "that's it!" after their first few pulls. My
experience and techniques also help reduce the pain.
Q: How often do I need to get waxed to keep maintained?
A: I recommend that my clients wax just about every 4 weeks. Your first waxing will always
grow back a bit quicker, you will start to notice regrowth in about 12 days. By the 3rd
waxing the pain will be greatly decreased and the regrowth will be greatly slowed. By the
4th month of waxing you will have just enough hair to wax and pretty much feel hair free all
the time, as long as you keep on schedule!
Q: Why not just shave?
A: Foremost, waxing doesn't cause skin irritation like shaving can. There is much less of
ingrown hair problems with waxing and no itching when the hairs grow back... being the
hair is very soft and not stubbly. My favorite reason for waxing is that it doesn't take
nearly as much maintenance as shaving. I only have to deal with my body hair 12 times a
year and I just love that!
If you have waxing questions, I have waxing answers. Don't hesitate to ask.
